In 1964, 19-year-old Michael Thomas turned on, dropped out and headed for California to make it as an artist. He landed in San Francisco where he met and studied art with painter Elizabeth Campbell. The counterculture movement was in full swing and Michael soaked it up with enthusiasm; esoteric artwork, eastern philosophy, psychedelic music and deep mind-expanding experiences.
His work was being displayed at the Black Man's Gallery things were good and Michael decided to expand his vision even further. In 1969 Michael started the Temple of Universal Truth to proclaim ...
" All is One it is not enough to simply go through life serving ourselves,
we must grow so that we can serve one another."
